 UPDATE on West Coast Fan Meet:

The meet for this Saturday Aug. 17 in Los Angeles has officially been cancelled by the person organizing it.  He feels deeply regretful for the inconvenience to those who planned to attend..  In spite of his best efforts there were circumstances probably beyond his control resulting in the inability to hold the event. 

The most important thing now is to make sure anyone planning to attend is notified.  I will hopefully be able to get a list of those who may have attended so I or someone can contact them.   If you have any questions feel free to phone me (number below).Steve  1:42pm Tuesday

An unfortunate turn of circumstances leaves us with no venue to hold the West Coast Meet as scheduled this Saturday Aug. 17th.  The person organizing the meet seems to have dropped from communication with nobody being able to contact or hear from him in two or three days.

There is still a possibility that the meet may be held but it may have to be officiallly cancelled on very short notice.  I am taking it upon myself to make this post in the hopes that it will reach everyone who had planned to attend the meet so they will not show up and find no meet in progress.

Please keep abreast of the most current status of the West Coast Fan Meet in Los Angeles by watching THIS post.   I will update as new information may become available.

 thanks steve for  getting this info out...my hope is that all who were planning on attending will see this.....i tried calling the number you left, but all i got was a busy type signal.....i had truly had hoped that the meet could be salvaged....

 As of now I don't see the meet happening but please keep watch on the first post for any updates.  I feel badly for anyone who has incurred costs in money and time making plans to attend the meet or who does not get the word that it may be cancelled and shows up to find nobody there.

 i am going through the "roll call" post and sending out private messages to those that expressed that they were coming... and telling them to check the forum for more info... 
we were driving, but had changed our minds and now have a flight and hotel... i guess you can alway use a credit on southwest...:wondering:
