I have a brand new Phil Rich Windmaker Fan in original box. It is brand new including box wrench to adjust direction.  I am getting ready to sell it but when I plugged it in and turned it on it went to high speed.  When I say high speed I mean I had to hold the fan so it would not blow itself over.  Is this normal for these fans?  The rocker switch seems to be only on or off with no low speed.  I would appreciate any advice you have and thank you.

All of the 10" models I have seen are 1 speed. That is a late 70s model if it has a rocker switch vs a knob, great to see one still in the box.
