I just obtained an Electrex X-236 fan which has no brushes installed. Does anyone know which brushes I should order for this or how to determine the correct size and type?
Other than that, the fan seems to be in pretty nice condition. I read on previous posts that this is a cheap drug stor fan and the motor may have been manufactured by Gilbert.

Any help determining the correct brushes as well as any other historical info would be appreciated.

Thank you,
John

Try McMaster Carr. They have brushes.  You’ll need to measure the brush holders. Drill bits work well as gages to check the size.

And of course you’ll need springs and brush caps if they’re missing.  Darryl Hudson can make the caps.
