Henry Tideman resigned as CEO of Tideman Electric Mfg. Co. in October of 1921. What is interesting is it is stated in a Feb. 7th 1922 article in the Cairo bulletin that the Tideman company assets exceeded their liabilities and the company was sitting idle due to mismanagement. The banks of Cairo filed suit due to large sums of money owed. The concern went into receivership under Walter Kreb on Feb. 6, 1922. So what the fan motors from the former Tideman owned business sported on their tags and badge from 22 and forward through 1926.....?

The article is can be seen if you highlight and enlarge page 2 on the link below.

I am not sure if 614 Commercial Ave. was the factory location, or the factory office location?  If it is the factory, Tideman's game plan was closer to the south, with rail and river product access for shipping within a rocks throw of the plant. Along with the assets came the deficits. River flooding and huge racial issues. In Henry Tideman's descendent ephemera I possess, his descendent states Tideman was considering minority labor to his benefit in Cairo. What goes around, comes round.
