My bet is it was used for industrial purpose.  If the bearings are sound, they more than likely had an oiling schedule.  :clap: :D







I witnessed an elaborate oil feed system fed directly into the bottom of the oil cups of a Jandus tagged 12" wire mount stationary. I had no means to take an image of it at the time.
