Most Lollipop fans I have seen have no information stamped on the information tag which covers the brushes. There are blank areas for the following information: Volts, Cycles and Serial Number.  I have a fan which has this information stamped to match the motor tag. So why is my fan different from the majority of Lollipop fans?

I have noticed that most AC lollipop fans do not have any information stamped on the tag on the base pedestal but DC lollipops are stamped there.   I don't know why that is.

Are there any AC pops with base tag information not stamped prior to serial # 15758?

My 1st wild guess is that you have an earlier issue than the ones with no info stamped on the neck plate.  The motor tag indicates that the motor came from Westinghouse. I wonder now if R&M at some point turned to their own motor castings since they were a foundry from the getgo , then posted their info on the motor tag only ???  instering point to study.

Mine has blank fields as well, the switch was stamped 110-120 volts -a later modification?

Does ANYONE out there have an AC pop serial# lower than 15758? If so, does your base tag have STAMPINGS on it?

Mine, s/n 58046, has no info stamped on the base tag, but full info on the motor tag. Seems to agree with the findings here.

Congrats, Terry.  It appears you have the earliest known AC pop known to survive.  :D

Hey Russ . . . . Surely not since I have never had the first of anything when it comes to fan collecting  :dude: :dude: :dude:

Would be nice if we had more responses from the Lollipop owners out there.

I agree. The other day I logged on and saw over 200 guests. I keep some things to myself, but much I share. It has come back to me 2 fold.

Wonder if the later Serial Numbers had the "A" suffix in the style number?

Somewhere between these two serials the base tag stampings stopped. Anyone out there with a serial between Terry and Ted?

Do we have any idea of total known surviving population? (Including VICTOR Branded)
