After years of talking and years of work... the new, much improved, AFCA website is here!!! There is a new forum, but a link on the new home page will take you to the old forum.

I encourage every member that sees this, to head on over to the new domain, go to the menu in the upper right corner (3 lines), click the link for the new forum, get registered and begin your posting journey ...

The old forum will remain available for a while, but will soon be archived to preserve information and the ability to post will be disabled.

Your feedback is welcomed, however, if your feel the need to complain, please reach out by DM rather than stir the pot with negativity...

From the new menu you might click a link that will take you to the old site.. example Gallery, new galleries will be coming in the future.. and there are a couple of links that are under construction ..ie Swag and Fan Wiki..

Like I mentioned new stuff on the horizon, but let's savor this for awhile..

Happy Weekend!!!

Have tried out our new site. To be honest, it will take time for me to learn its "navigation".It does not accept my email account or current password. So, can not reply.

Nice looking!

It is nice looking!

You'll have to "sign up" for the new forum as if you're a new member. It's a totally separate piece of software from this one. You'll put your info in the software and it will send you an e-mail to confirm your e-mail is correct. Once you get that e-mail, there is a confirmation link to click in the e-mail. After that, you're ready to post.

Oh, it was so close, I went thru the registration process and got to the last validation request, but it went into an apparently eternal little arrow going around and around.  I'll try again tomorrow.  And who knows, I may have made a mistake, it happened once a few years ago!

I'm having trouble, too. I registered then the site was supposed to send me an email which didn't arrive for several hours. When I clicked on the email to verify, it took me to the sign in page where it wouldn't accept my user name (email) and password. After a few tries, it locked me out.
Boo.

Hello everyone. We've had to delete a few posts from this thread. Please remain civil towards each other.

If you are signing up on the new forum (which we highly encourage you to do), you need to create a new account.

And yes, it is correct that no fee was charged to the AFCA, or its members, for the organization, coding, artwork, image manipulation, writing or anything else pertaining to the pages on the new website.

If you would like to volunteer to code a few new gallery and/or wiki pages, we will have hundreds of those coming up soon. Just contact the Board to volunteer. We would be happy to share the volunteer coding duties.
:D

Worked as designed, signup was seamless.  One question why all the performance tracking and whose judgement call for being put in time out?

You're welcome for the guidance. I had just signed up at that same time and it was fresh on my mind.

I've had a rough couple years and haven't been able to do the number and quality of projects I used to. Hopefully that will change sometime and I can be more productive.

Sincerely,
David

Annie, David, Others:I just went through the drill of registering at the new site.  It requires that I pay dues once again-- thought that was not due until January???  Please spell our how to register without paying once again in 2021.

Hi Bill, it is not intuitive to do this, but it can be done rather easily. From the Home page, click the three bars in the upper right corner. From the next screen, pick "New Forum". From the new forum page, upper right, click "Sign Up" . You must complete some forms and an email will be sent to you. Confirm your email from the "button" in that email. You will be taken to an email confirmation page. It may not work the first time. If it does not, cancel your attempt and try it again. It's all in the "Hoop Jumping"

I hope it works for you, Good Luck!

I was putting it off, but stumbled on to the method. So now, at least you are caught up!

Even with the "site map" provided by David Allen, still not signed up. To join, it wants me to use PayPal. Already a dues paying member! Can not go further. Yes, tried Mark Olsons method. It does not accept either email address or password that is current and valid. Time for a break.

It is fair to say, this membership transfer process is less than intuitive.

Signed in successfully, at last, at the new site. Sign in to and navigating of new site is not intuitive. Is this really progress?

Bill... you do not have to pay for your membership (renewal) to sign on/up for the the new forum.. my apologies that I didn't make that more clear .... once you are on the new site... go to the upper right corner, the 3 bars menu. click, it will take you to a home page where you can choose where you want to go.. click new forum... then you sign up , its  free.. use your real name,  no alias and email address, you will receive an email, soon after, follow the prompts to verify .. easy peasy, lemon squeezy.. hopefully ..

I should have been more clear when I made my post about "signing up" for/on the new forum... No charge to register for the new forum... no need to pay early to renew... sorry that was not more clear... If you did, re-register as a member via PayPal, let me know we can refund that until its time to renew...
