Can an Emerson Fern Leaf be hung on an eight foot ceiling ?

Appears like the minimum the switch will be 20 " from ceiling .  Does that look too low ? or does anybody have pics of one on an eight foot ceiling?

Years ago we found that if the blades are 14” below the ceiling it’ll work.

It should work, but you may have to use a Hunter split canopy. Getting that original canopy low enough to hook the yoke & attach the wires is tricky. I have 7.5’ ceilings & have an old Hunter over the dining room table. Every once in a while I forget to take my western hat off when I go in the house. The old Hunter always teaches me manners regarding a hat in the house & removes it.

The rule of thumb is blades need to be 7 feet from the floor.

I have never tried to hang a fernleaf on an 8 foot ceiling.

Doubt you can hang one and keep a 7 foot height and the nose would definitely be a hat knocker offer.

If you try, let us know the outcome.

I do what Stan said.

I use the entire Hunter Original hanger, downrod (very short) and 2-piece canopy.

You can find the new hanger parts on eBay or, if you are lucky to get a person on the phone at Hunter, get it there.

Call 888-213-2545 Hunter direct sales. I have never been able to get their on line parts ordering to work. Also, often the parts are out of stock so you have to wait.

It they ask what model fan the parts are for, say model 23838 Hunter Outdoor Original 52 Inch

These are the parts that you need:

G268502000 U Bracket $6
G268602000 Rubber Bushing and Pin $6
G268702000 Mounting Bracket $6
G268802W25 Canopy Kit $30
7352309119 Hanger Pipe $3

This photo shows the Hunter parts, but a non-Hunter canopy.

eBay is easier:
