Just purchased a Welch Hassock fan. The motor needs a good cleaning. The inside of the Stator is filthy and needs a good degreasing. I was gonna crack it open it open, but my luck runs on the bad side. I was wondering if anyone had any advice? Thanks, Q

Carefully blow it out with compressed air then you can use CRC Lectra Clean (Home Depot) to remove the grease. It won’t hurt the windings like other solvents can.

Be sure to do it outdoors, the smell of that stuff is pretty strong.
