I just pulled down a fan that I think is from 1972 (when house was built)The center shaft ~3/4" coarse thread appears to have come unscrewed. I tried to screw it back in but it twists the wires. Is it worth fixing? If not does anyone want it for parts? It runs fine. |

It is worth fixing, you may have to take the switch nut off & push the switch into the nose so you can tighten it, then refill it with oil. It is better than any new fan out there. |
